Has anyone rented one of these this season? or own one? Looking for a larger-ish family canoe for myself, wife, and three kids. Wondering how stable this is compared to a SR Q18 or a MN3

I own a Bell Northwind 17, (not a Bell Composites).
It feels less stable than the Souris River, But you will get used to it. In my opinion it is head and shoulders better to paddle than a MN II....(but then I'm a Bell snob)... I have paddled each of the other boats.

From what I understand the new Bell Northwind is the same as the original except for the tumble home. I really like mine and don't find it to be at all unstable. It's a nice canoe.

We own this canoe! Just bought it at the Expo in April. Paddled it in WCPP just a couple weeks ago and loved it. Very stable and can fit a TON of stuff. You'd love renting it. Just make sure to load it properly. :)
