Got my name on this mn3, I have never bought a used canoe and was going to order a new tuff-weave up until a couple of days ago until i started looking around. It is at spring creek outfitters, I have heard they do great business, but wanted to hear some opinions on if this used kevlar is worth 1400$
thanx for any input

Looks solid in the pics, as long as wear is cosmetic and requires no immediate repairs. Not a MN3 shopper but price seems to reflect value, etc.

If you end up buying it I think you will be happy with boat for years to come. Kevlar wears well and repairs well. Added bonus, since it comes with surface scratches and skid plates, you can cringe less at that first rocky portage landing or shallower than expected river.

I used this thread last time I was looking. Some sound general advice, they should almost make it a sticky.

I have a cabin near Mt Iron. A buddy of mine from Virginia, MN swears by Spring Creek. His comments on them are honest and fair. Plus they have all kinds of cool accessories!

Another buddy of mine got his MN III from Piragis and has only good thing to say about them.

I don't think you can go wrong getting gear from most outfitters.

I bought a MNII retired rental from Piragis in 2003. I got a nearly new canoe for a thousand less than new and still use it. Its not nearly new anymore!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used rental from any of the outfitters I know.
