Hey everyone, I've identified the next piece of gear on my list to be replaced with something lighter and more efficient. I currently have a Columbia Bugaboo jacket in the Omnitech layup. It's a great jacket, but I've found it's just too heavy when compared with others on the market these days. It weighs in at at 1 lb 11 oz without the fleece liner.
I would like to find a good lightweight (16oz max) breathable wind shell that will do double duty as a decent rain jacket as well. It doesn't have to hold up to a prolonged soaking, but I do want it to give me enough time to make camp and get the tent set up before it soaks through. Also, a liner is not necessary.
I haven't done any detailed research into this area lately so I'm looking for suggestions so I can get a starting point. I'd like to keep the price below $150.

I'm not a big fan of Wintergreen Northern Wear, but own and like a lot their Windshirt. Mine is an older style and has been used on most all my canoe trips, and other places.
