Hello to all in the North Country!! Need some advice please!! I purchased a # 4 Waxed Canvas Duluth Pack new in 2007. I noticed recently on my last trip that the canvas at the bottom of the pack is wearing through already. I have tried very hard to really take care of my pack and do not drag it around. Should this be happening this soon? Should I contact the company? Please advise!!

They have a lifetime warranty so yes contact them.

Ditto what SV said. I've had one for 20 years and is holding up great!

I wonder if the waxed cotton will hold up as well as the traditional. I have a Barbour waxed cotton coat and was disappointed in how fast I wore holes into it.

Contacted Duluth Pack Customer Service this A.M. I was told to ship it to them and they would take a look at it. Shipped it UPS this afternoon. Will post the outcome.

Like I said in another post, My three packs are from 1980 and going strong. They fixed a friends pack for free a few years ago. They are well made packs and a good company.

canvas is really tough. i wouldn't worry about it.

The Duluth Pack Company contacted me today and told me that the premature wear was covered under warranty and they were replacing my pack!! The Duluth Pack Company is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Just one more reason why paying that little bit extra for locally made goods is in our best interest.
