Oddly enough I just called CCS with this exact question. I have a used Magic with a couple of snaps missing from yhe hull. He does have them there & I think he'd probably sell them to you. He did mention that you would need some sort of specific rivet tool that he was also willing to sell me. I'll probably just take my canoe to him & have him put them on. I would likely never use the tool for any other purpose.

You should not use just any snap.
There are different snaps for different purposes.
There are 3 different release strengths from 1 manufacturer of snaps. Not to mention cap stud lengths, finishes, and for the stud , the form and intended mounting fasteners. People have made covers with snaps located from the top of the gunnel to 6" down the side of the canoe, and every distance in between. Setting the cap and socket in the fabric can be done with a hammer and snap setting kit. Expect to have some fail from over peening or some may fail from been too loose and ripping out the fabric.
