I found this waffle maker griddle while cleaning out my mothers closets and I immediately saw BWCA potential. They are 11 inch square and fairly light weight. The only modification needed may be a plug for the oil drain in the corner.

Everything from conventional frying pans to Maytag washer lids are discussed here and I wonder if anyone has tried these before? (Or I have I discovered the new retro cool BWCA cookware???)

They look a little thin, not sure but wouldn't they burn things?

We had one of those when I was a kid. Mom used it for grilled cheese sandwiches and waffles (not at the same time).

You might be able to sell it on Ebay as a collectable and buy a better purpose suited item.

I had something like that in an old waffle iron - grill on one side, waffle on the other. They were pretty heavy in mine though. I'd wonder how you keep them together when cooking if not in the electric machine part? Might be awkward. Try it at home and let us know!

I had that same evil thought. The main box is not in great shape so I'm unsure if it would appeal to tru collectors.

I would take one half for use on my single burner. This looks a little thicker than it appears, but much lighter than my current square fry pan. The low square shape is nice for getting more pancakes on at once!

Now, THAT'S what I'm talking about.

cool item wcd, never seen it before.

I can see half the waffle maker as a griddle, nice size for a tandem trip, long as the pancakes don't spill over the edge!
