ive always thought it would be interesting to set one up in camp. i dont hunt so im clueless about them.

id prefer something that wouldnt fire a flash...a flash that would scare the hell out of me. :)

just curious about who has what and what works well.

links would be great.

Just what you need, kanoes. You'll see what's lurking in your camp at night and get the heebie jeebies even worse on solo trips.

I'm thinking that not knowing may be worse than knowing, but who knows? Maybe he'll finally get that pic of bigfoot everyone's been searching for!

Would have been cool to see that bear in camp this past Sept. Does a trail cam work well at night?

I've also thought it would be fun to do.

Sounds like a great idea Kanoes. Put it up by where you hang the food pack and let the fun begin. :)

Jan,
You'll get lots of pics of yourself heading out and returning from a pee. Maybe you'll even get pics of yourself in the act of peeing and ask yourself, "what are those two glowing, yellow, dots of light just beyond me in that picture?"

LOL! Didn't Jan sell his pee bottle? Maybe he got a bigger one so he can drink more at night and still not have to leave the tent for #1. :-)

I know that this entire site is not working right now, but you can get the contact information from this gentleman. He used to be my boss, and have helped machine more than one of his prototype housings for his trail cameras. I know that his prices are VERY REASONABLE.

His name is George and you can call, send, or email him at:

If you are interested, I would get a hold of him and see what he has to offer.

I used one once when winter camping and awoke to find this on the camera. :-)
