Dang it, I really don't want to spend that money right now - but I cannot pass that up. WISH I didn't see this kanoes.

I love my CampTrails packs and they are 14 years old... ready for some restitching/reinforcement but perfectly serviceable. I emailed the ad contact, so don't you all get in my way! :)

With all due respect and love 7of9, I say na-na-na-na-na-na!

:)

When I bought my two packs in 1996 they were about $100 each, maybe $95/$110 or something like that. WELL worth it over the years. I didn't even ASK him to lower the price. Gladly pay $50 for another 14 years and then some. I brought my 14 year old one to show the guy what it would have looked like if he had USED his. Mine is faded olive green vs forest, some small nicks in the canvas from airplane luggage compartments, one set of the plastic strap thingys are gone (I took them off when the stitching started fraying 'cause I don't use them), dirt left in the mesh screen from the last trip in September, mesh sewn where something sliced it once upon a time... ahhh, and now a new one to "break in"!!

giddy, I tell you.

Now where's that addiction thread? It serves no purpose to have gear for 10 people if only 9 can trip at a time and if I prefer small groups anyway...

I can help rid you of that latest addiction dose. :-)

Awwwww, thanks 7of9, but I'm so stuck in the addiction that I can't admit I have too much gear yet - which Step is that in the recovery plan anyway? Ah well, if the therapy ever kicks in, I'll let you know.

I considered parting with the old one, but immediately rejected that insane idea, since you just never know when you'll need to loan out a pack to get someone to come along... plus I figure I'll keep taking the old one on the airplanes since they do more damage than Canadian Shield rocks do.

Well BW, if you decide you don't want that new pack let me know. Happy trails.

Will surely do 7of9. I'm sure kanoes will keep his eye out for another bargain yet this fall... my wallet hopes you're the first to spot the next one!
