Sorry if this has been posted before-I just noticed it. A little too much $ for me but I sure would like to have it hanging on the cabin wall.

Antiques are too over priced.

I believe that same pack was listed at $100k earlier in the year. its over 50% off:)

I'm thinking of offering $60 and see if he's willing to come down a bit:)

So if I keep mine for another 83 years can I get $46000.00? Never mind.

I think you're right.

Still would be cool to have a bit of history and wonder what a pack like that had seen. But it pops up so often at ridiculous amounts that I wonder if it's a scam.

I have three packs and two front-portage packs.

Maybe I should put them in the vault at the bank :)

This got my attention. I use Duluth Packs and have had a couple repaired over the years at the factory in Duluth. A few years ago I stopped in with one of the older packs to have a new strap put on. The older guy that waited on me laid the pack out, caressed it and estimated it was made sometime before 1951 due to the different wording on the pack. He called it an antique.
I have just continued to use it year after year. Perhaps I should put it up on Ebay and I could retire.
