Does anyone have a suggestion for a crazy creek style chair that can handle big guys? My son is 6' 5" and 280#. All the chairs I've looked at say their limit is 250#. I know there are some bigger fellas out there on the board- what works?

i'm a couple inches shorter, same weight. crazy creek tall back works for me-haven't broken anything. that weight limit thing is just so they don't have to honor their warranty for average size people.

I just bought the CC chair you mentioned - it seemed that this was both the lightest design and the one that had the least that could break.

280# is a challenge in several dimensions - I doubt he'd be comfortable in the Thermarest pad chairs - and as you observed 250# is the 'legal limit' on the other designs I think are reasonable to carry in.

I'll look around.

Just got an email back from the nice folks at crazy creek, who say their "longback" in the adventurer line is rated up to 300#. I ordered one for Jesse- and I'll let everyone know what the verdict is after our trip at the end on July.
