Northwoods, I'm about your size and I have a Bryers Amazon hammock. I like it and have used it for many trips. I got it at REI in Bloomington MN. There is many good hammocks out there, search this site for info. What ever one you get I strongly recommend getting a pair of Slap Straps to attach your hammock to trees. They are straps with loops for your carabineer to attach to your hammock.

last year I found one at Sportsmans Guide. It cost about $10 and I am bigger than you and it held me just fine. Folds up to the size of a football.

Northwoods , I checked all the hammocks for capacity before I purchased and found ENO to be what I wanted. Higher than most if not all the majors. Got mine at REI, although you can go direct. Duluth pack in Duluth also carries them. Check out Eagle Nest Outfitters, we have the double model, love it.

Northwoods - I am about your size and have been using a Hennessey Explorer Deluxe (or whatever their large model is called) for several years. Works great. Get a bigger tarp for it, though.
