We are doing a week long trip starting next Sunday. Thought about making a day trip or two to Argo lake and try our luck lake trout fishing.

We have absolutely no idea what to do, but it sounds like fun.
We get they are deep, use a tail dancer, or a heavy jig.

Any info on where they will be with the current time of year, water temp, etc?

Thanks!

I was there last year in the second week of June. They were still fairly shallow. Troll taildancers, spoons with an ounce or two of weight, deep hot n tots, etc. Start in 20' or so and work deeper. I have a trip report saved if you want to check it out. We caught them on every lure we tried, but they showed a fondness for purple.
