Okay I am going in this Wed morning Moose Lk EP, tow then into Ensign, up Ensign to Vera and hitting some other lakes on day trips, 5 days 4 nights with my 10 year old daughter

My question is anyone been up yet this year and had luck on any particular lure or technique they would like to share

Looking forward to it, can't wait to get there

Walleyes are biting and smallmouth bass just moving closer to going on beds. Lake temps today were as high as 66 degrees. Things changing fast.

Exactly what Savage said. You can also use a 1/8th or 1/16th OZ jig under a slip-bobber with a leech. Just make sure you are keeping you bait a foot or 2 off the bottom. Walleyes will be in 10-5 ft of water in the late evening at Ensign.

Pinetree thanks for the note, surprised to hear the water temp is that high already, looks like rain for us, hopefully that will make the fishing good

Thanks again

It varied from 62 degrees to 66. You get a good wind and upwelling it will cool down the water. The last two days air temp has been in the mid 80's.
