Mine is the Humminbird PiranhaMAX 210 Portable, now discontinued. Fairly compact, batteries last many days' outings, transducer shoots through the hull or the suction cup works fine, too. The ones Humminbird sells these days as "portable" come in a bulkier soft case. Lots of threads here on how to modify a standard unit for use in the BW.

quote Wally13: "I like the Lowrance X-4. It doesn't draw much power so battery draw is lower than many fishfinders but it still has many excellent features found on more expensive models.
Lowrance X-4 "
I just bought the Lowrance X-4 Pro for about $85 at Mills Fleet Farm. Same as the X-4 but with a little wider viewing angle. Looking forward to getting it fitted for my canoe.
