I was wondering if anyone that has had the drop in site 84, the Snake River, could tell me a little bit about how the area is for fishing. I am heading up there for the last week of august right before I start my new semester of college. I was wondering what will be biting up there. Also if you have any information about nice campsites or anything else involving this drop in site that would also be great to know. Thanks!

I don't know about the Snake River itself, but I think most people use that entry point to get to Bald Eagle and Gabbro Lakes. EP 84 isn't as popular a way to gain entry into the area as Little Gabbro (EP 33) is, so you might get better information by asking about the lakes you intend to visit in that general area.

Agreed. We used the Snake EP once for a base camp on Bald Eagle with day trips to connecting lakes, especially Gabbro. Didn't unpack the rods on the river... pretty low water on our August trip.

You'll catch fish in Bald Eagle. With the right wind, that lake can get real bumpy. Travel in the mornings.

Bald Eagle holds walleye, Bass, and Northerns. Fishing is good and better than Gabbro. Gull and Pietro also have good Walleye fishing as well. Turtle holds nice size Northerns.
