3-4 times a year, mostly with a float and spinning gear. Some day I'll break out the fly rod. I'm a big fan of small soft plastics.

Hoping to get out at least twice a week this fall. Mostly south shore. If the waters right got a couple spots on the north shore that produce good in fall.

Well of coarse. Fishing the Brule and the Flag are a must. Everyday is a great day to be fishing, just made plans to head to Pickerel Lake for next week. Should be fantastic.

Yes, a good part of the population run in the fall. They enter great lakes rivers (some rivers) in later sept and then a bigger fall run starts in Oct., with meanest, fightingest' bruisers caught in Nov. A lot of early fish follow the salmon and are eating the eggs. Fish continue trickling in all winter, then another run starts in March/April for the spring spawn. A good book for midwest/northern waters is Steelhead Dreans by Matt Supinski. I love steelhead!

Hard core steelheader. Used to chase them 12 months out of the year, but tired of chasing summer runs in jungle like settings. Winter is my favorite time- No Skeeters or ticks!

Just got back from a week of steelhead fishing on the Brule. A little slow but enough action each day to keep you interested. Lot's of browns in there right now though.
