Guide Jim Hudson died yesterday after a incident on Lake Superior. Jim was a top notch guide, his knowledge of the Superior fishery was unmatched. I was fishing with his service a couple weeks ago, and I can tell you his guide service is second to none. I hope his guy's keep it running. My prayers go out to Jim's family and all the people who new him. Please people , be careful out there on the ice.

was reading about this yesterday what a horrible tragedy...prayers go out to the family.

I understand his wife is Hannah Hudson the photographer that took that picture of that man laying with his dying dog in Lake Superior that went viral on the internet.

We've used JIm in the past as well and had a great time. Very tragic.

His wife was our wedding photographer. Very sad story. Our prayers go out to her and her family.

Sad news. I never used his service but really enjoyed his segments when he was on KFAN outdoors here in the Cities. Seemed like a great guy and from his talk he was very conscious about safety. Thoughts and prayers to his family. I'll repeat what his wife said, "he died doing what he loved."

Sad deal! I just watched him guiding on the latest episode of John Gillespie's show and thought how fun it would be to book a trip with him. I feel bad for his family and friends, but hope they find peace in knowing he died doing the thing he enjoyed doing most.
