OOPS! I mean 5 lbs. of fillets. :) My faith in fishing is restored. First fresh mess of fish since June.
We laid into a mess of slabs Teusday morning in the mist and soggy weather as we drifted along with the shad using creek chubs. We could do no wrong and were getting one-footers right and left. Been a year or two since I got into a bunch of slabs like that.
We were drifting a lake in S. OH. Sorry..no pics, and sorry for the thread title :) "First liar hasn't a chance" We fried up half and froze the rest for a sunny day!
I hadn't eaten a mess of fresh fish since late May in Bdub.

I picked up a 14" slab last week when out walleye fishing. Thought I was in to a school, but it was the only one I caught.
