2part question
1- Any1 ever had problems with critters getting into leech lockers overnight?
2- for 2 adult 2 kid fishing trip you think 1# of leeches will be good for 3-4days of fishing? Myself I plan on using Spoons/Raps for large Pike but was thinking slips for Walleye/Smallies for wife and kids.

1# of leeches will be plenty for 3-4 days, you might be ok with 1/2# if you are using artificials also? I never had issues with leech critters, I have a leech box that I snap onto a rope and keep in the water all the time and works great, it is like a minnow bucket but smaller and the lid locks into place with vent holes for water flow. It is plastic and very durable.

Was just wondering because this year at family cabin some thing has chewed through the rope and we have lost 2 lockers this year. I know that if you leave a minnow bucket unlocked the otters know how to open it and clean it out, but have never heard of some thing biting threw rope and eating leeches.(both of them were the material mesh bag with velcro tops)

Both sound good to me. If you are worried about critters getting into them put a rock inside and sink it in deep water.

I use the mesh bag "Leech Tamer" and leave it tied out at night and have never had anything bother it.

We had a snapper try to take off with a leech bag one night.

As stormrider1 stated, turtles get attracted to anything near a shore line, and will chomp through a Leech Tamer Bag if they get the urge!

If you mean the screw on lid, Bait Kings, I hope I have them by then.
I'll call the factory tomorrow and see if there has been any progress on them!

TGO,
Yes that is what I meant, hopefully you will have one left I can purchase when I get there on Saturday the 23rd. I will stop by and check although it will be in the afternoon after you have left to go fishing...;-)

We finally got the Bait Kings in yesterday, although it was only a partial order (72)
The other 128 should be coming within a week or two.

Very good! I think my buddy might be looking for one when we're up one month from today.

Agreed. But then you'd have to spend 5 or 6 hours assembling the leeches and that'd be no fun either.

We use one of those small insulated water bottle deals (8" tall x 5" diam). Caulked the hole on top shut to keep water in. Top screws on so it keeps the critters out and the leaches insulated, last for days.
