Gone to Ely fishng for the last twenty years and never been to tofte lake and hear it has some good lake trout? Can you help me? Has anyone ever fished it?

Tofte is a designated trout lake, but I don't think there are lakers in there. It is stocked regularly with rainbows and splake.

Are there any rivers to fly fish around Ely. My son and I got fly rods this year and want to try them out. I want to fly fish so bad for salmon in October this year. Will be my first time fly fishing for salmon and any other fish as a matter of fact.
