Hey,
I'm going to be on Crooked in May. Saturday Bay area.
I know Crooked doesn't have any lakers.......Does anyone know of laker lakes close to Crooked.
I'm thinking LLC, but I'm not too sure I want to go that far on a daytrip to target them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to decide if I need to be taking gear for them this year or not.
Thanks,
Geo

Otherwise Argo, Cone, Brent, in the Quetico"
Well, I'm not going to be fishing the Q side.......I thought about it, but with my nephew, it is really, really hard to get all the permitting junk together.
Anyone have any on the BDUB side.
Thanks,
Geo

quote mr.barley: "LLC is the closest lake with lakers. I fished LLC on about 15 trips and never caught one. If you want lakers, go east side in May."You are correct .

We are also going to be in Crooked - Friday Bay - to base camp. Will be there in early June. We would love to take a day trip to target some Lakers. How is the travel to Argo? Would it be easier to hit Cone Lake instead? Which has better Laker action? Thanks for any information you can provide.

You would have to have to buy a day use permit for Quetico, as well as obtain a Remote Border Crossing Permit for the individuals in your group, as well as Ontario fishing licenses/outdoor cards.
That said, both Cone and Argo are good.

That would be one big honking fine. Or worse.
