Anyone know what the state record Northern Pike measured in inches?

I found this but no length info

Not knowing how long the fish... we could probably use a formula to figure its length out. I have been schooled that a 40" Northern equals a 20lb fish (similar to a 30" Walleye equals a 10lb fish) with that said, a 45lb Northern should equal a length of approx 90"? As with all species of fish basing the length off of the weight or vice versa is only a guesstimate. Both should happen to note each fishes uniqueness. A girthy 40" fish will weigh more than a skinny 40" fish.

a 45.61 lb Northern would equal 49.75". Wow, I've heard stories of 48" plus Northern in the Boulder Bay/river area. I guess we do actually have a chance at a new state record.

There are many more Muskies caught in this size range than Northerns so this chart gives a pretty good idea of lenght vs. girth for an Esox of that size. The length/girths in the blue coloration might have a shot at a state record. Muskie chart Chart

Seen a 45 inch northern pike that weighted 30 pounds in Mille lacs. A 30 pound northern pike is a very very rare fish. Mille lacs lake has lots of 25 pound fish in the low 40 inch range. You get that big they can be like a fat pig or a skinny racer.Have seen a few muskellunge in Mille lacs up to 52 inches and very fat.
