Do you have a favorite knot and how does it stand up to other knots? North American Fishing Club show on Saturday has a on-going knot war. They use the same 3 lines for testing and take an average from 12 tests. Line types are mono, braid and flurocarbon. Some drastic differences at times.

That's a little humbling, I can tie 18 knots in a 3/4 poly rope, I've only heard of about 3 of those

Polamer is the knot I use 90% of the time - fast and strong.
I have no idea what those other ones are but I also use Rapala knot when wanting a loop rather than tight to the lure eye.

What I found most interesting is that flourocarbon has the lowest break lbs on almost all those knots - didn't know that.

I've used an Improved Trilene Knot for years. Great thread.
