whats your preference?

power bait....sticks well on jigs, reuseable, cheaper.

gulp...better scent?...slimy (doesnt stick well on jigs)...more costly...suggested not to place back in the bag after use. dries out like jerky.

who has used both? what do you prefer?

I have used both and as far as catching performance I have had far better luck with Gulp than plain old powerbait. It is true that th powerbait does last longer and is more durable, but I think you would haveot agree that the more you trend toward sbeing "like" live bait the more complaications you will have similar to live bait.

I've used gulp minnows, minnow grubs (especially chartruce 3") maggots and crappie nibblers. All have performed well. I try to keep an extra pack around for winter or summer. I'm looking to try some other ones this year. I think its nice and easier to use than live bait and less headaches that live bait.

I use both and they are about the same. I have more powerbait because it is cheaper but i couldnt tell you that one is better than the other. I really like the powerbait 7" ribbon tail and texas rig it. Great presentation. The smallmouth love the tail on powerbait.

I like power bait for it's jig use. Also some of their scented baits work well. However berkly still works well in the right situation.
