For any of you Gunflint fishermen and women out there, has anyone fished in or near the harbor area in Grand marais ?

Out from the harbor up to 5 miles out can be good for lakers.

Thanks walleye hunter, I was wondering if anyone had fished that area from shore or in a watercraft .

You can catch fish from shore off the breakwall in Aug and Sep but conditions have to be just right.

I have fished the area by the marina. I've never had much luck, but know people who have caught nice sized northern in there.
