I've been searching alot online for a place to go in the Boundry Waters and can't decide where to go so I'm asking some of you guys on here that have been or know the area well.My best friend and I take his dad whos getting up there in the years fishing for a week each summer and were looking for a place to go every year once we find the spot we want. Were looking for a nice cabin on a smaller to mid size lake with modern conviences like a tv.Want to catch walleyes and size doesn't matter, smallmouths and perch. Can some of you guys give us a few lakes or resorts that we should check out. Thanks for any help Taz

there are no ladges, cabins or resorts in the bwca. there are several nice places on the gunflint trail however.

Also on the Ely side, off the Echo Trail (Fenske Lake Cabins for one). I'd encourage you to check out accomodations and costs on line. You have numerous options of places right along the edge of the BWCA.

Never been, but google 'big lake, ely' or chamber of commerce. Big lake is off Echo trail I think. A couple there as well as Fenske. Also 'logcabinhideaways.com" but how modern ? ? IN BWCA? no. real near? yes
