ahhhh to be 12 and have the world as my oyster..........

my Nephews first "solo" by himself in a canoe. He's always been the "bow" man with me in the canoe with him. I surprised him tonight with letting him go out by himself. If you could capture smiles forever.....
his remarks afterwards were that it's a lot harder to paddle straight then he thought and he's got to work on that part.

Always good to nudge a young man forward with a vote of confidence when he's earned it and let him find out what he still needs to learn. He'll get the hang of it and in no time you'll have yourself a real good paddling partner.
