I was wondering what others on here might think of this.

I'd really like to see this "canoe sled" he talks about. Sounds pretty neat.

Very cool! I am curious to see how it all turns out. A unique solo expedition!

This "canoe sled" may be the exception to not using the term "very unique" :).

Wonder why he's traveling primarily at night? Sounds even more dangerous when you have to read ice movements and such.

I'm such a wus.

It's a handmade Custom Northstar Pheonix by Ted Bell.

There are pictures of it on CCS's facebook page. CCS made a custom gear cover for it.

A very unique looking craft.

I would think that at night the snow/and ice would crust up and make the going much easier. Just a few degrees below freezing can do wonders for sketchy ice too.
