Saturday August 16 the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association is doing an event in Shell Lake Wisconsin. See many wood and canvas canoes, Birch bark canoe building being demonstrated and much more. more info

We'll be going right by on our way to Ely for a week in the BWCA. Might see if we have time to stop for a bit, but I wish my Dad could come since he's almost done refinishing his homemade redwood boat.
