What kanies said. Many of the larger lakes that are EP's allow motors, trolling or gas motors with restricted HP. Snowbank, M9ose, East Bearskin, and McFarland are some examples.

Just remember if your canoe has a trolling motor it has to have the registration numbers on the bow and they have to conform to the DNR rules for such letters, 3" tall, 2" between groups

If I remember if you have a motor on a motor lake and want to go to a non-motor lake you need to stash your motor in the woods. Is this correct?

I've heard of people doing that

At the so called portage from McFarland into Pine last year there were 3 motors and gas tanks lying on on shore in plain sight.

I'm not sure if you must take motors off your boats or canoes before entering the BWCA but why paddle or portage that extra weight around.

You can not have them in a non- motorized area, they have no idea when you would decide maybe to use them.

You can not use them on the non motorized lakes and an electric trolling motor is not any more legal than a small outboard just because it is electric, maybee this is what you were wondering?
