Live in sunny Florida and I'm buying a canoe from one of the outfitters. Do I license it in MN or down here? Anybody ever done something like this?

You can register it either place for use in MN including the BWCA. If your state doesn't offer registration for canoes or requires that you put on large registration numbers then you can use MN. If your state requires registration for canoes and you are going to use it there then it might be best to register it locally.
