after clearing away the sidewalks i went out to check the canoe shelter.
that last snowfall we had in Minneapolis really made a heap on top.
the roof slumped down to almost touching the canoe!!
a quick prop and a bottle jack got it back up in place.

the 4x4 should work for the rest of the winter.i'll admit i did a bad job of the shelter last Fall.i waited too long and it was getting cold with a light drizzle coming on.i my haste i forgot i had a tarp stored under my old red canoe by the side of the house and made a hardware store run for a new one.why that side came down i have no idea.i put it up the same way as the year before and had no problems then.when spring gets here and the canoes are back in the open air i'll check my work over.
