Got back on 7/17 from a 4 day trip to the Snowbank lake area. Base camped on Disappointment, but made a day trip up to Jordan/Ima/Cattyman Lakes and back. 2 foot rollers on Snowbank the day of our entry. Luckily, winds were calm on our way back. Will post a full trip report and lots of great photos to soon.

One recommendation. If entering in Ely, try the Ely Steakhouse for dinner. Their food is excellent! Best soup I've had in my life: Beer Cheese Wild Rice. -You have to try it!

Looking forward to the report. Last year my son and I did a single night trip going in Snowbank-paddled to Jordan and camped there and out the next day. I know what you mean about wind on Snowbank-it can be a tough lake to paddle at times.

I entered at Snowbank for a 5 day solo (my first)in June and basecamped at Disappointment. Even thought there was a lot of traffic, the smallmouth fishing was unbelievable, 50 to 100 fish per day. The wind was terrible 3 out of 5 days. My trips across Snowbank were not too windy but the lightning and thunder was pretty scary.

Wow, lightning and thunder? A good friend once said to me, "How fast can you paddle a 17 foot lightning rod?"
