I will whip up some kind of entre in the Dutch; not sure what just yet.

03/26/2011 10:00PM
I'll bring some crow. I ate some in an earlier trolling post.

03/26/2011 10:02PM
I will bring hummus and accompaniments.

03/26/2011 10:03PM
Start time: late lunch, early dinner? 3-4 pm?

Reasoning: lunchtime seems too early, dinnertime seems too late (because I'm sure some people will just be there for the day)

03/26/2011 10:05PM
3-4 sounds good.

03/26/2011 10:18PM
I've been thinking. Maybe 2pm is better.

?

03/26/2011 10:19PM
lets go 2pm then. there, its decided!

Bump.

BTW, by "hummus and accompaniments" I mean pita chips, triscuits, and various veggies: carrots, sweet peppers, cucumbers...

I'll maybe a couple different types of hummus, I think. And Jan, you WILL try it. ;-)

03/28/2011 09:16AM
Oh, how cute! Does Jan have a hang-up about hummus?

Try it, Jan! It is delicious! :-)

And I won't be there, so I won't get to see if he does or not! :-(

I was talking about it in chat one evening. If I remember correctly, he hadn't even heard of it before. Or maybe he had heard of it, but thought it looked highly suspicious. Which I do understand. ;-) I know for sure he hasn't tried it...yet.

03/28/2011 11:16AM
I will bring baked beans and Brats in the dutch

03/28/2011 11:21AM
I think it will probably be a little on the nippy side that weekend so a good cup of hot soup will be on the menu. I am thinking I will probably bring my homemade Chicken wild rice soup.

Just remember NO ELECTRICITY . I have a set up that will allow you to grill on an open fire. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new folks as well.

Is anyone else getting the feeling that this is just the start of something big, or is it just me.?

Between the people camping, the people who are coming for the day, and the people who are thinking about coming, this seems like this could be a huge event. What's your guess- 20, 30, 40, 50, more than that? I'm in the category of will/can come if certain things with the family sort out in a certain way. Does the park have any limitations we should know about? I mean, for example, things work out and I take the drive over and they say, sorry- there's too many people back there. Is that possible?

My teeth are feeling a little bit better. I will be able to chow down, I think. Though I might have to cut some things up into small pieces. ;-) I have new rubber bands to wear in addition to new wires, and without the bands it does not feel too bad, but when I put them in, it's more painful. (Don't tell my ortho, but I may not be wearing these extra bands for most of the weekend, LOL.) The general soreness is tolerable without the bands, and with soft foods (though not liquids).
