I'm putting in at Moose River North in two weeks, heading up to Gebeonequet. Does anyone have info on water levels in Moose and Nina Moose Rivers? Thanks.
On June 12th there was plenty of water. Not only on the moose and nina moose, but the oyster river was navigable. It starts out pretty narrow, and hard to find, but it is deep enough to paddle.
Last week (June 16) I paddled from Lake Agnes to the Moose River North entry point and there was plenty of water. As a bonus, none of the beaver dams required getting out of the boat.
Our group just got back in from our trip that went through Gebe and ultimately exited at EP16.
The water levels in Nina Moose River were very good with a solid flow that we had to paddle against. If you are getting to Gebe via LLC-Pocket Creek-Gebe Creek be advised that the beaver dam on Gebe Creek has been breached and the water levels above it are presently about 2 feet lower than usual. Made for some tough, muddy negotiating over exposed rocks.
If you are getting to Gebe via Oyster, I can't help you with any information about the Oyster River.
