Well the pole from my rant about “ever had one of these days” had its second wind today. Caught this nice brood. Big trout for North Central Iowa.



Oh what fun it is on the ultra light. KL

Nice fish. Which stream??? You said north central Iowa sooo maybe north or south Bear. I fish that area a few times a year with family.

Not this time. They are two of my favorites. Hope to get over that way next week. The land of no cell phone coverage.

This one came from a stream west of Orchard, IA.

being from Iowa I am familiar with north and south bear also along with all of the other streams in the Decorah area,as well as the other areas,Iowa dnr has a good stocking program,most streams every week,some select streams once a month but they won't tell you when on those streams,they stock the broods when they are reaching the end of their breeding potential.nice rainbow

Well my son - in - law says it was great! Since I had gastric bypass last year it would have lasted me two weeks!
