First of all I would like to say it is really difficult to find a date that works for everybody and I am sorry that we can't have everyone who is interested attend. There will be more in the future and hopefully we will meet you then.
The Date is: May 1st
Time is: Show up whenever you want
Place is: Baker Park Reserve
2301 County Road 19w
Maple Plain, MN 55359
Cost is: Free if you are not staying overnight
$17 for 1 campsite (2 tents/8 people)
Firewood: Is sold on site (can't bring in your own)
Park opens: 9:00am
Closes at: 10:00pm unless you are camping
Other items:
1) Need someone to bring a volleyball (or two)
2) The picnic area and camping area are separated by a short distance. During the day most of the activity will be near the picnic area because there is overhead cover, grills and it is near the water. - Later whenever everyone is done canoeing/fishing those who wish to camp can head to the campsite to set up there tents and sit around the campfires.
3) We will have a pot-luck dinner at around 5:00 to 6:00pm if you want to participate. If you do please list what you will bring for the group when you RSVP. From earlier posts it sound like the consensus was to bring your own meat to grill and side dishes will be what is shared.
4) Beer swap - For those who wish to participate - list your favorite type of brew when you RSVP and bring it. One rule - must list a different type if someone listed your favorite first. We will share the beverages during the dinner. (6 or 12 pack)
5) From the campground map (and from my conversations with park personnel) we can camp pretty close together, there are trees for hammocks, fire pits for smores, hot dogs.... and looks like there are picnic tables.
6) Bring your Mountain bikes - there are paved trails.
7) Bring your golf clubs - if you want to take in a little golf before dinner.
8) Bring your rug rats - the kids should have lots of fun.
9) If at all possible bring at least 1 item of camping gear to show off so other members of this site can check it out :)
10) This is going down rain or shine!
I really hope we get a big turnout try to make it out so we can put some faces on the screen names. Please know thyself - there will be kids around so don't get too drunk.....OK you can get drunk but be a happy drunk and don't don't use cuss words (and of course don't drive home).

There are grills in the picnic area and I will bring a bag of charcoal. There are also fire pits at the campsites ( have to buy your wood there) so you can roast hot dogs.....
