That has been the right place. I did the same thing and had the same result. I had not heard that the forest service has changed reservation services but that could be one explanation.

Maybe it's just down for the day as I know last year they did not start taking lottery applications until 11/1. Maybe wait and check back tomorrow. They might be just getting everything ready for the lottery season.

I will say it has been a troublesome website for many years. Not the most stable thing out there. If you do apply, make sure you get a confirmation of your application. If not you will need to call them out in NY.

If anyone has other info please share with all of us.

I just tried going through Bellcanoe.com to get there, same thing happened. As Bog said maybe they are down for main etc.. If I recall the date seems to be Feb 1 for the drawing. I have never used the latto have been able to dates I have needed with no problem, though we try to go in on the edge seasons to avoid the crowds.
