My 27 year old son shared this quote with me today, nice quote.
"When you speak of someone or about someone, you should speak as though they were in the room with you. The ears that you speak to today are attached to the mouth that could relay the message tomorrow."

How true! And how many of us haven't insisted in learning this the hard way. Thank you SunCatcher.

Amen SC. we were taught "If you can't say it while lookin' at 'em ; don't say it" and "If you can't say something good about somebody....save it." Thanks for that one!

SunC, thanks for sharing that. It hits home with a group that I am currently working with and I intend to pass it along.

When I was growing up my Dad had two sayings.

1. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it.

2. Think before you speak.

Good quote. A co-worker is getting fired on Monday for not understanding that rule.

As I was growing up my mentors always taught me to....

"Be excellent to each other"

SunCatcher Happy belated birthday.

I took my 5 yr old son to the BW, after a week in the rain I asked him if he had a good time.He spun around in the canoe and said as long as I'm with you, I always have a good time Dad.
That was 13 yrs ago and we're still having a good time.

Speak well of each other.

Here's another version of the same thought. The definition of "integrity" -- being loyal to those who are absent. In other words, no talking behind someone's back.
