"The Hurrier You Go; The 'Behinder' You Get". Old man told me this once when I was in my early twenties. (It was a few years sinking in) :) Remember this when times get hectic and don't be too hard on yourself! :) He also said, "There are times to throw your wristwatch away and rely on the sun and moon or a calender." Funny; the way he put it. He was a rare bird. :) He was often Right.
Not to Hurry-Not to Worry

My 40 yr. old Porter Cable 'big drill' died on me last night.Put it in the shop and... bought a new Milwaulki 1/2" and the first 4" hole I drilled this morning crippled/stove-up my right hand. Came home, had an irish coffee and wrote the above quote. :) (left handed). Maybe my shorts were too tight! :)

... a QOD worth it's salt.
Overall, if the populous would embrace it, we'd be better off. The pursuit of Common Sense is overrun by the quest for tech gadgets/the knowledge of their empowerment(s). A slower and easy pace would benefit everyone. In this aspect, I miss the good olde days. It appears so very ridiculous as I watch folks texting on tiny phones. People text while driving. How ridiculous is that?

quote oldgentleman: "My grandmother had a good one any time things went bad for me.
'Experience is a hard teacher, but a FOOL will learn no other way.'
It never really cheered me up.
"
Sooooo true. That reminds me ... when I was about 12 years old, I'd done some simple project in what was probably the most convoluted way possible. My Dad smiled and said, "You'll always do things the hard way." He was right. The benefit is that I usually learn something I wouldn't have learned if I'd just followed the directions. Other times, I end up with egg on my face. I guess each of us has our own learning style. I'll gladly claim fool status.
