Lost below McAree Rapids: one Pflueger Supreme 8030MG attached to a Bass Pro Shops 6.5 foot rod, one Katadyn Hiker filter, one Columbia hat, and a "rite in the rain" journal. Was fishing below the rapids, not trying to run them. After about 3 hours of fishing and about 50 smallmouth, pike and walleye below the rapids, We started across to the portage and the combination of the 30 mph west wind and the extra current from the recent rain flipped us. Saved my wife, the other 3 rods and reels and most everything else. The one 3 pound walleye we were keeping for dinner was still on the stringer but somehow ended up in the canoe. We both had inflatable, belt pfd's and they worked fine after I reminded the wife to pull her cord. First flip over of my 9 trips. Stuff happens.
