Being part of other outdoor sites on the web I'm glad this site doesn't show how many people "view" each topic. I feel that it makes people second guess or even lie about the information they share. Its one of those out of sight out of mind things.

I'd have to agree. I am a member of another messageboard that does show how many views. It actually gets pretty frustrating to see how many people have viewed a topic, but had not response.

Yea this is an amazing site with all the information people give out so we know what to deal with on our next trip.

Imagine what would happen if we got a second set of trees for the number of people who view our posts! Tree envy would take on a whole new dimension.

The post counts seem to update about twice a week. I'm looking forward to my fifth tree any day now...

I viewed then posted. Does that count?

I am kinda tickled (entertains my warped sense of humor) by the idea that members are lurking in the shadows..... reading, recording, and waiting to make the definitive post.

They could be watching now...... Adam, we need a "squeaking door sound" when a post opens up, and no one writes

Guilty of not always posting. I don't always post as the slight chance that my boss is somewhere lurking on this website & can see what it is I am actually doing during working hours. If I did everytime, I guess I would have my 5 trees by now. Another tree envy thread.........
