Unfortunately they recovered his body today from Lake Superior. He was in 44 feet of water. The aircraft was not found. Sad ending to this story. Prayers for his family.

Very sad... Mr. Pechacek sounds like he was quite a guy.

Makes me think: is it better to die doing something we love, unexpectedly like this, or not? It is a question that does not require an answer...but tragedies like this push me to reflect on such matters.
