Singer and co-founder of "Eagles", passed away. Look it up. One of the greats.

Ah, I like Poco. Guess I'm listening to the Legend album tonight on my record player.

Very interesting career, talented guy.

As for Poco, they were still going as a band until Rusty Young’s death a year or two ago. I believe a friend of Jerry/OneMatch played bass for them.

One night Meisner did not want to sing Take it To The Limit and Glen Frey was furious. Meisner quit the band after that. I think he dumped a beer on Frey’s head when he quit. Frey was kind of the boss of the band and pushed Don Felder out as well. That was kind of sad because they would not let Felder back in later when they reunited and Felder badly wanted to rejoin them. Meisner walked away from a lot of money when he left because the partnership agreement cut him out of future revenue if he quit the band. I he must have been pretty miserable in the band. After he left the Eagles went back to Poco and poached Timothy B Schmidt to replace him. They had poached Meisner from Poco some years earlier so that was their poaching ground for bass players that could hit the high notes. Schmidt had been playing in relative obscurity with Poco after Meisner left while Meisner had hit the big time with the Eagles. Schmidt joined the Eagles and sang I Cant Tell You Why. After they recorded it Don Henley told him you have your hit which he had not been able to get with Poco. The Eagles and especially Don Henley were a hit machine for some time. They had an interesting run. Hotel California was their masterpiece.

That is my opinion on that.

Don Henley is one of the biggest jack wads in rock history, and that is quite the accomplishment.
