Here is a couple pictures out my back door this afternoon. One is looking straight up. Fire is about 5 miles away and is around 2500 acres.

That is not something I would want to see out my back door. Good luck!

Scary looking, Larry. Hope it gets under control. I’m pretty worried about this season over by the coast.

Larry is in eastern California.

Better get that old CDF fire engine warmed up, Bean Gulch RFD to the rescue. Guessing you have done firewise work around your place. Best of luck.

Fire is at 4000 acres as of this morning. I'm guessing the big jump in acreage is do to fireing operations last night. At noon the temp is 104 humidity is 17% not much wind yet, that will come later this afternoon. I'm pretty confident things will be fine here. BUT, just in case Zulu and Linden, the Bean Gulch RFD is ready and waiting!!!

Hey Ben, the Branch 3 director on the fire was one of my Fire Explorer Scouts. It's about time all that extra Work is paying off!!!
The south flank (our side) is looking pretty good so far. The north side is giving them problems. If there plan works tonight and the lines hold through tomorrow we should be looking good.

Well, no more burnt leaves and pine needles falling on the property, no more neighbors calling at all hours wanting to know whats going on, no more smoke in the morning. It's even cooled off to 99! Life is good.

A bit of an aside, but want to say if the Bean Gulch Fire Department ever sell t-shirts to raise dough, I’m buying.

Ben, I got it figured out. We will put you in Charge as Fire Boss, Get Linden Tree and will get your old fire truck from your area and head out west. I am sure Linden tree is still in top notch physical condition.
Ben you better get in training.

You guys are killen me!! this is hilarious. I never though about having tee shirts made. And I definitely don't have a way to donate, although that don't sound bad either! What I have the power to do is, make you, honorary members of the Bean Gulch Volunteer Fire Department. With that come the much coveted formal badge. See picture. However don't confuse this badge with the stick on badge we give all the kids at parades and etc.!!

MMM tee shirts. I'm going to have to look into that!
