Going into Pooh Bah in early July. Was thinking of maybe heading up to Lonly, Elizabeth, area. Is this area busier then the Pooh Bah area? Being closer to the northern entry area I was concerned it might be a little to crowded for my taste. What do you think ?

I was on Poohbah for a couple of days last July and didn't see anyone. But the fact that First Nation folks can fly in there makes solitude there chancy.

Was in Poohbah a few years ago late-June and a float plane flew in and out twice over a 3-day period. Also heard the drone of a motor boat but never saw it. We camped on the eastern part of the lake and weren't bothered at all by the First Nation folks. Fishing was outstanding!

Elizabeth and Lonely have always been travel through lakes for me onto somewhere, where Poohbah was a destination lake. Your are probably more likely to run into base campers on Poohbah, and more traffic traveling through. The nature of Quetico is it depends how lucky or unlucky you are.

Was up there late June/early July two summers ago. Entered Lonely at the south end where we saw one site occupied, camped toward the north end and saw no other people. Didn't see anyone on Elizabeth or Walter, but plenty of other parties on Jesse. Lots of Sturgeon Narrows without people and despite hearing it could get crowded, no other people on the west half of Russell (away from Chatterton).
