Welcome back! Those filets look delicious, did you leave any fish for the rest of us to catch or is the Quetico truly "fished out" now? :-) 12 days to go for me, hoping for the same success!! Looking forward to your report and more pics.
Is the water warming up at all? We were able to swim very comfortably last year mid July, but going 2 weeks earlier this year. I'd rather have it better for fishing than swimming though so won't complain if it's still a little chilly!

Patrick,
Very nice trip report. If you remember this was basically the same trip my daughter and I had booked but the death of my father in law postponed it to late July. Now, it looks as though she has been offered a new job and a move to MNPLS is in the makings so I may be looking again for a partner. Perhaps my brother will go.
I was intrigued with your fishing on Earl and Ted and glad to hear how successful it was. I too had talked to Stu and he had never been to those lakes so we'll see what he says about them now. I could tell he was pretty intrigued by them. He goes to Elk a lot and that's pretty close by.
Sounds like William is getting pretty popular and I can see why. I've been there twice and always had good fishing. It's also relatively easy to get to.
Anyway, thanks for the nice report. I enjoyed it.
