07/31/2013 08:53PM Thanks for the nice comments. I'm thinking next year will be going the other way and taking the boys for their first trip, they're 9 and 6. We'll have to get out and do some practice paddling to see if they could handle it. |

02/28/2013 03:39PM I took my Dad when he was 66. Looks like your Dad had a real good time. It's a shame he didn't get a pic with that big northern. The same thing happened to me when I took my Dad. We couldn't boat a huge northern. Those orange lip grabbers from Cabelas would of helped both of us in that situation. Hopefully you guys can do it again. Thanks for posting. |

02/25/2013 05:08PM Great Trip report. Took my 75 year old dad for his inaugural BWCA trip on the that route reversed. It was a short trip too but one I will never forget. He has been able to get out twice more with me and hopefully he will be up for another one this spring. |
