08/09/2006 02:58PM Thanks for the report, skywalker! This happens to be a very timely one for us, since this is an area we'd like to target for our next trip. The campsite info on Omega is particularly useful, as that's one place we're thinking about staying. Aside from the nice campsites there, how is the lake itself? What lakes were your favorites in terms of beauty? Finally, how was the portaging on the way back through Cave, Banadad and Rush? There seems to be quite a few lengthier ones on that portion of the route. I don't know what it is, but something about the boundary waters just makes people want to sing (not a bad thing, I guess, in general). Maybe it's like singing in the shower. No one thinks anyone else is listening. :-) It sounds like neither of us are having any luck with the moose sightings in these rich moose habitats. I guess we'll just have to keep on trying (aw-shucks!). Thank you, I really enjoyed the report. |
