But the smallies, especially on Hustler, would slam it so fast, that was all I could catch.quote deadriver: "bottomtothetap, Were you catching walleye from shore? What kind of rig were you using? Thanks!" I always think fishing from the canoe will be better. Sounds like I need to step up my shore fishing and bobber game. Also, sorry to hear about your cameras. Isn't there a lost and found thread on this forum? We saw someone leave 2 rented paddles on the shore of EP14 on July 26th. |

08/07/2017 10:27AM It was great to take this trip with you, Voicehandler. I keep thinking about the calm waters of Hustler. Glad to have seen that lake - it's on my list for a potential revisit. |

08/06/2017 12:28PM Enjoyed the report. We were at your same Lynx Lake site a few days previous. Like you, we watched the storms mostly slide by us and stayed out of most of the nasty weather. Also noted active squirrels some of who seemed to be throwing things down at us and our canoes (I swear, on purpose!) Unlike you, fishing from shore for us was great but the mosquitoes were awful. |
